In efforts to raise the sights and stimulate the minds of teens and their families of the Prince George’s County area, the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Maryland has sponsored Scholastic Aptitude Test [SAT] preparation Webinars. Students have gained valuable knowledge on how to improve their test taking strategies. The next SAT Prep Webinar is scheduled for October 15, 2022, from 9:00am until 11:30 a.m. All previous SAT and Financial Aid Webinars are available FREE OnDemand. “Performing well on the SAT is essential for students seeking to gain admittance to colleges and universities in the United States,” said Kerby Parker, the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Maryland board president, “The question is: how do you raise your score?”
By returning to the website and practicing the strategies. “While good grades and SAT score will be helpful to gain admission coupled with a good score you are on your way.  In order to obtain that metric, you may return to the website to practice after the event.

Shuyinthia Hembry, a nationally recognized trainer, is the primary presenter for the SAT workshop. Hembry serves as Chief Academic Officer at Butterfly Works. She specializes in providing valuable test taking strategies to raise scores and performance, including problem solving techniques, sample questions, and identifying common mistakes.

The workshop is a joint effort between Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Maryland, Inc, and its partners: The Academic Empowerment Foundation, Inc, ButterflyWorks, LLC, and Oxon Hill High School.
