Investing in Students. Developing Leaders. Transforming Communities.

Founded in 1990, the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Maryland Inc. is committed to empowering young people through education, mentorship, leadership development, and access to opportunity. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we work to help students achieve academic success, prepare for college, develop career pathways, and become future leaders in their communities.

For more than three decades, our Foundation has proudly served students and families throughout Prince George’s County, Maryland, and the greater Washington Metropolitan Region, providing programs designed to remove barriers, expand opportunities, and inspire excellence. Through SAT preparation workshops, financial aid and scholarship guidance, we help young people gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s competitive world.

While we maintain a special commitment to supporting African American youth, particularly young men, we welcome and encourage participation from all students who are committed to academic achievement, personal growth, and community leadership.

When one student succeeds, a family is strengthened. When families are strengthened, communities flourish.

We envision a future where young people are inspired to dream boldly, prepared to lead confidently, and empowered to create meaningful change in their communities. Through education, mentorship, and service, we aspire to develop generations of leaders who understand that success is not merely measured by personal achievement, but by their willingness to lift others as they rise.
